Group B

Round 3

From Brest Bretagne is missing goalkeeper Cléopatre Darleux (knee injury, sidelined for at least two months) and playmaker Isabelle Gulldén (ankle injury, won’t play at least two weeks), which is a big loss for the French team. They arrived to Göteborg to collect the two points, but this was not an easy match for them.

In the first half, IK Savehof fought strongly on their home court in Partille and 16-19 was the result before the break. Savehof played like a team, sharing the responsibility among them, meanwhile, Brest had Mangue, Gros, and Pop-Lazic to lead their team.

In the start of the second half, IK Savehof still tried to keep up with Brest, 21-24, 21-25 (41.minute) but their resources ended here and Brest pushed on the gear, getting a ten-goal lead 26-26, five minutes before the end and winning the match 27 – 39.
