EHF Women’s Champions League
Group B
The Russian champions defeated this afternoon the Danish champions, for the second time in the last two weeks and if we look for the similarities between the two matches, it was obvious that head coach Ambros Martin had the same tactical plan in defense, which seemed to be a mission impossible again for Mogensen and his team. During the first 27 minutes of the game, København managed to score only seven goals (14-7) against this upsetting defense and a strong Pessoa in the goal. Vyakhireva, Managarova, Makeeva or Abbingh were all efficient in the offensive phase, meanwhile, the Danish attacking play seemed to be only a struggle from every position. Rostov took a deserved victory, 30-25 and two new points to take with to the Main Round.
