EHF EURO 2018
Group A, Nantes
Poland started the match better, played wisely, slowing down the pace of the game and did not allow for the Danes to play in their own way. They succeeded leading 4-2, 5-3, 6-5, but Denmark managed to equalize at 6-6, mostly due to very important saves from Sandra Toft. After 6-6, the Danes took the lead, 6-9, 8-11, never letting the Polish team back to control. Karolina Kochaniak got a direct red card for dangerous play against Anne Mette Hansen, the first half ended 9-11.
The second half becomes a running show for Denmark, where Poland had nothing to come with, only an eager Monika Kobylinska showed some beautiful skills, scoring 6 goals. Denmark took their second victory, and secured the qualification to the Main Round, meanwhile Poland must beat Sweden in the next match in order to qualify.
