The host started seriously the EHF EURO in the game, leading  0-5 against Slovenia. Gros and her team scored their first goal on the 13th minute of the match, France had an impeccable defense and goalkeeper in Leynaud, gaining a huge advantage 8-17, after the first thirty minutes. The second half was any different and hosts took their first victory, beating Slovenia with a huge difference.
