EHF EURO 2018
Group A, Nantes
- With a Swedish victory, Sweden takes two points to the Main Round, but a Polish victory could mean that Sweden is out from the competition
- The first half: Filippa Idehn had a good performance (58% saves), Sweden was struggling in attack (again), Poland was even more inefficient, scoring 5 goals for thirty minutes. Nathalie Hagman – good performance on right back position. Poland’s best player was Adriana Placzek in the goal, with a 50% saving performance.
- The second half: Poland had nothing to lose and they managed to get back in the match. Sweden kept their advantage until 48.minute, 17-16, but Poland managed to equalize 17-17 and the thriller started. It was a nailbiting last ten minutes where Poland had also the lead at 18-19, 21-22, but Sweden had always a player in Hagman, Roberts or Alm who managed to score. Kudlacz-Gloc and Gryzb were on fire for Poland, but this was not enough and Sweden qualified to the Main Round after three very close games. Poland is forced to leave the competition.
