EHF EURO 2018
Group D, Brest
- Both Norway and Romania are already qualified to the Main Round, Romania has already 2 points to take with, Norway has to win today to get points
- Ambros Martin made a change, he replaced line player Daniela Ratiu with back player Madalina Zamfirescu
- Norway had a difficult first half, because nothing worked for Thorir Hergeirssons team against an eager, good defending Romanian team, with Cristina Neagu on fire and Pintea unstoppable on the line. Norway had a weak defense and they were struggling in the attack also, could not find the way to the Romanian goal. Six goals advantage gathered Romania in the first half, which seems to be huge.
- In the second half, Norway had plans to turn over the result, but Romania has continued with the compact defense, good goalkeeper performance, and fluency in the attack. Neagu, Pintea, Geiger, and Chiper are efficient, meanwhile, Norway could not score on their chances, Ambros Martin made a good plan against Norway, the tactical victory was on the Romanian side today.
