  • Good start of Netherlands goalkeeper, Tess Wester in the first half, gave the Dutch team confident and a good beginning of the match.  Netherlands opened 3-0, Neagu did not show a good form or mood, but Romania got closer 3-2, than 3-3.

  • Without their leader, Nycke Groot Netherlands was fighting , Abbingh, Smeets or Kramer were efficient, meanwhile Romania was struggling in attack, both Neagu and Pintea had problems to score, they were replaced for periods in the match. Dumanska had an ordinary day in the goal, not being able to give extra help to her team. Netherlands won the first half 11 – 10.
  • In the second half Netherlands got a much better flow and a better start, scoring some fastbreak goals and increasing the lead quickly to 14 – 11, 16 –  12 and Romania seemed to be beaten already in this moment.
