Silje Solberg (NOR)-goalkeeper – player of the match
” We played a good game against Sweden, but it hurts my heart that we could not play a semifinal in this fantastic arena. We could blame only ourselves to not being in the semifinals, our opening match destroyed every chance.”
Henny Reistad (NOR)- playmaker, she got a much bigger role than she expected before the EURO and she grabbed the chances and played well and clever, as not many 19-years old players would have played.
“I am happy with chances I have got, I tried to do my best, to play what I can best, but at the same time I have to say that I need to improve a lot as a handball-player and this is my biggest goal. I know that the competition to get into the Norwegian national team is huge, many players could be in this team and now as I was here I would like to continue. On the other hand, I am very young and I have much work to do to be better!”
Thorir Hergeirsson (NOR) – head coach
“We wanted to win this game, we wanted to end the tournament with a good performance. You always remember the last game of a tournament and we did well. We conceded 29 goals, but had an amazing goalkeeper in Silje Solberg.”
“We will come back even stronger. We take this experience with us because we will be hosts, alongside Denmark, in 2020.”
Marta Tomac (NOR) – playmaker
“It was a nice ending, but we were hoping for more, so we are a little bit disappointed. Hopefully, we will come back even stronger. We always think about the gold medal.”
