In the second opener of the World Championship co-host, Denmark transformed the Royal Hall from Copenhagen in a playground, running over Chile, which managed to score only 4 goals in the first half. Every Danish player got playing minutes and Denmark got an easy victory, which looked like a training match. Denmark scored on many fast breaks, making the match to a running show.

Chile –  Denmark 17 –  38 (4 –  22)

Referees: Fonseca, Santos (POR)

Topscorers: Rodrigo Salinas (CHI) 4 goals and Casper Mortensen (DEN) 8 goals

Suspensions: 10 minutes; 10 minutes
