Norway was the favorite of this encounter and the match confirmed that as Tunisia was not able to cause trouble for the Norwegians.

Group D

Sweden entered the game as favorites and they were in the lead almost the whole game with 4-5 goals, but Egypt managed to fight back in the second half and leveled the game several times in the last ten minutes, last times 24-24. This was the moment when Jim Gottfridsson decided to decide the game by himself, scoring the next three goals in only two minutes and changed the result to 24-27, giving Sweden the victory in front of a totally yellow-blue arena.

Egypt –  Sweden 24 –  27 (11 – 13)

Topscorers: Ahmed Elahmar and Mohamed Shebib (EGY) 5 goals each and Jim Gottfridsson and Lukas Nilsson (SWE) 5 goals each
