In the second match of the day in group D Norway met Austria. The Austrian team has underperformed in the last match when they were defeated by Chile. Today they made a good first half, following Norway very closely and playing an even game. But when Espen Christensen replaced Bergerud in the Norwegian goal, and Gøran Johannesen came in for O’Sullivan, the whole picture changed and Norwegians took the control. In the second half Austria had no more responses on the repeated Norwegians fastbreaks, goalkeeper saves and the team of Christian Berge just won the match comfortably.
