Metz to write history – qualified to the DELO EHF Final4

DELO Women’s EHF Champions League

Quarterfinals, second leg

Metz Handball – CSM Bucuresti 23 – 22 (11 – 9)

Topscorers: Meline Nocandy (Metz) 6 goals and Andrea Lekic (CSM) 5 goals

Metz had a five-goals advantage from the first leg and even if CSM Bucuresti showed a good fight in the first quarter of the game the Romanians had never had a real chance to win this match, even less to qualify.

Metz won by one goal and qualified to the RJF Final 4 in Budapest for the very first time, writing history for the club and for the French women handball as well, being the first French team which made it so far in this competition.
