DELO WOMEN’S EHF FINAL4

Gábor Danyi, headcoach of Győri Audi ETO KC:

“I am surprised that we managed to take such a huge victory, in my opinion, this difference is not real. My team worked really well, our defense and goalkeeper performance from Doudou (Amandine Leynaud) was outstanding in the first half of the game and in that period we gained a huge advantage. Vipers was probably influenced by the atmosphere, they are for the first time here and they have to be used to these surroundings.

“Tomorrow is another day and another game, we will pepare for the final whoever the opponent will be.

Amandine Leynaud, goalkeeper, Győri Audi ETO KC:

“We did a really great teamwork, our defense worked almost perfectly and behind this wall my job was also easier. I am really proid to be part of this, but I would like to underline that this was teamwork, every of us added something to this victory.

Kari Aalvik Grimsbö, goalkeeper, Győri Audi ETO KC:

” We made a good match, with a fantastic defense and goalkeeper saves. I got also the chance in the second half, is not easy to get into in a match like this which is already won, but since we are three really good goalkeepers, we learned how to stay focused all the time. We don’t know before the match which one of us will start the game, the headcoach announce us only in the locker-room right before the game, so I always prepare as I will be starting. Very happy to be in the final again, is an honour to play here and in front of this audience.

Anne Mette Hansen, leftback, Győri Audi ETO KC:

” We played a really good game today, everything we prepared worked out almost perfectly, good defense, fastbreaks, good goalkeeper performance and everyone could contribute a bit.

“Now we have to recover for tomorrow and we are waiting to find out our opponent in the final. I don’t have a preference here, we take whichever team is coming. We want to win the trophy, so we have to win every opponent.
