DELO Women’s EHF Champions League

In the opening match of the groups stage in the CL, SCM Rm.Valcea defeated the German champions from Bietigheim. After a close first half 20-18 for the hosts, in the second part of the game Marta Batinovic made her comeback in the CL and showed her class, closing the way to the Romanian goal, letting only 9 goals for the German team to score (50%). Bietigheim was kept in the game by Laura Van der Heijden and Angela Malestein, but in the second half they also had problems to put the ball behind Batinovic. Rm.Valcea had some excellent performances by Liscevic, Fernandez, Vieira or Elghaoui, but Nørgaard has also proved her class, helping her team a lot in the offensive phase.
