In the opening match of the groups stage in the CL, SCM Rm.Valcea defeated the German champions from Bietigheim. After a close first half 20-18 for the hosts, in the second part of the game Marta Batinovic made her comeback in the CL and showed her class, closing the way to the Romanian goal, letting only 9 goals for the German team to score (50%).
