The headcoach of Germany, Hank Groener has announced his squad of 17 players for Japan.

Xenia Smits will miss the WCh because of a shoulder injury.

Leftwings: Ina Großmann (Thüringer HC), Antje Lauenroth (SG BBM Bietigheim)
Leftback: Mia Zschocke (TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen), Emily Bölk (Thüringer HC), Shenia Minevskaja (Brest Handball/FRA)
Playmakers: Alina Grijseels (BVB 09 Dortmund), Kim Naidzinavicius (SG BBM Bietigheim)
Rightback: Maren Weigel (TuS Metzingen), Alicia Stolle (Thüringer HC)
Rightwings: Amelie Berger (SG BBM Bietigheim), Jenny Behrend (VfL Oldenburg)
