DELO Women’s EHF Champions League
Round 6
Group B
With a fantastic defense and goalkeepers performance from Anna Sedoykina, Rostov Don kept CSM on 7 goals during the first half of the match, leading 14-7 at the break.
Despite this, the second half looked totally different, due to Adi Vasile’s tactical move, when Romanians played with two lineplayers in the attacking phase, taking out the goalkeeper, almost at every action. Cristina Neagu managed to score several times from these situations and even if Rostov were in lead all the time, their advantage was reduced gradually, from seven to six goals, then five and four. In the dying minutes, SM Bucuresti had the chance to equalize, but Rostov managed to win by one 23-22, winning group B and taking 5 points to the Main Round.
