Austria has already qualified to the Main Round before this match, but it remained to see if Macedonians are able to earn some points during group matches. That was not the case, Bylik and company defeated clearly North Macedonia, giving the Czechs a secure way to the Main Round too.

Group D, Trondheim

The match of two teams already eliminated from the Main Round play, it had to be played and France takes their first victory in this competition.

Bosnia and Herzegovina – France 23 -31 (13 – 14)

Topscorers: Marko Panic (NIH) 9 goals and Valentin Porte (FRA) 7 goals

Group F, Gothenburg

The match between Switzerland and Slovenia should decide the qualification, Slovenia must earn point(s) to go through, but Vranjes prepared a good tactic as Slovenia had the control of the game and the opponent during the first half and kept their advantage in the second part of the game too. Blaz Janc, Miha Zarabec, Nik Henigman or Mario Sostaric were very efficient and hard to stop, meanwhile, Switzerland could only rely on Andy Schmid.

Switzerland – Slovenia 25 – 29 (10 – 16)

Topscorers: Andy Schmid (SUI) 8 goals and Miha Zarabec (SLO) 6 goals
