Slovenia took a dram start and was in lead by 7-2, but Iceland managed to mobilize and come back 101-10. It was a close race in the last minutes of the first half, but Slovenia went to the locker rooms with a slight advantage, 15-14. Dejan Bombac was unstoppable during the whole game, he scored 9 goals and had 10 assists, showing his amazing skills once again.
The second half was even in the first minutes, but Slovenia managed to take back the control of the match quickly and had a five-goal advantage, 25-20. Iceland seemed to have problems mostly in the attack, their top players, like Palmarsson or Petterson showed a weak performance, meanwhile, Bombacg, Ferlin, Blagotinsek or Dolenec helped their team a lot. The team of Ljubomir Vranjes won the game and took a new important step towards the semifinals.
