Spain – Austria 30 – 26 (17 – 16)

Topscorers: Maqueda 6, Entrerrios 4, Figueras 4, Arina 4 (ESP) and Bozovic 5, Frimmel 4, Bylik 3, Webber 3 (AUT)

Austria made a fantastic first half, were in lead and kept close to Spain, but in the second half, Spain managed to control the match and won easily.

Croatia – Germany 25 – 24 (11 – 14)

Topscorers: Kararcic 7, Duvnjak 5, Stepancic 4 (CRO) and Gensheimer 4, Reichmann 4, Kastening 4, Weber 4 (GER)

Germany was better and had the lead after the first half, with an outstanding Wolff on the goal, but Croatia gave a good fight in the second half, Karacic, Duvnjak, and Mandic were the main scorers and Marin Sego after he did not have a good match (16%) saved the last ball from Kolbacher, which meant that Croatia is in the semifinal.
