It was a handball match dominated by defenses and goalkeeper saves, both Appelgreen and Mikler was outstanding in the two goals, but the shooting quality was also low. 4-2, 4-4, after 15 minutes and 7-7 after 26 minutes of play. Hungary did not manage to score on their chances, ended up with a lot turnovers and missed shots. Half time: 9-10. In the second half Sweden started with a better attack, tempo, and better shooting, Hungary continued to fail, even if Mikler was still good in the goal. This was the key to the success for Sweden, winning 18-24 and collecting their first points in the Main Round.

With this Swedish victory, Norway is ready for the semifinal. For the other semifinal berth, Slovenia and Hungary are still in the race.
