Sander Sagosen is one of the best players in the world and the 24-year-old was, as expected, an essential component of a dynamic Norwegian side. Norway was very close to reaching the gold medal match, but Croatia stopped them on a thriller semifinal on Friday night.
With a record 65 goals at a single EHF EURO, Sagosen gave Macedonian Kiril Lazarov’s record of 61 goals in 2012 for the history books. In addition, Sagosen also assisted 53 goals, being involved in more goals than any other player at the tournament – a phenomenal 118.
