Kari Aalvik Grimsbø (35) retires from handball at the end of this season.
Éva Kiss (33) will finish her active handball career but will continue to work at the club from Győr as a goalkeeper-coach at the youth teams. She signed a longterm contract of 4 years with the club.
“It was a difficult decision, but I believe that it is the best choice to finish my active career after this season. I am happy to stay at the club, I will continue to get my handball coach degrees and parallelly I will train the young goalkeepers at the club. My goal is to continue the strong Hungarian goalkeeper traditions, to give back something to this sport.” – says Kiss.
Amandine Leynaud (33) has prolonged her contract for one more year, but besides the goalkeeper-position, she will be part of the coaching staff of Győr, as the new goalkeeper coach for the two new arrivals: Silje Solberg (29) and Laura Glauser (26). The two newly signed goalies have three years of contracts both.
So from the next season, Győri Audi ETO KC will have three goalkeepers: Amandine Leynaud, Silje Solberg and Laura Glauser.
