Main Round, round 5

Topscorers: Henny Ella Reistad (Vipers) 8 goals and Anna Vyakhireva (Rostov) 10 goals

FTC Rail Cargo Hungaria – Team Esbjerg 26 – 25(13 – 15)

Topscorers: Katrin Klujber (FTC) 12 goals and Estevana Polman (Esbjerg) 10 goals

On Saturday before the match Vipers still had the chance to keep the hopes alive for a quarterfinal, but after a good first half for hosts, Rostov came back stronger in the second and with an amazing Vyakhireva took the two points from Kristiansand. With this defeat, Vipers has no more chances to qualify for the next stage.

In Hungary, FTC is already out from the quarterfinal discussion, but Team Esbjerg can work themselves up to the top of the ranking of group I with a victory, the same is valid for Metz, with a victory could climb up and leave the Bucharest behind on the fourth place. Both Metz and Esbjerg had a slight advantage in the pause, but only Metz managed to keep their advantage and win the game 28-26, meanwhile Team Esbjerg lost in Hungary.
