The DELO Women EHF Champions League starts this weekend, let’s take a look at the teams!

Rostov Don

The Russian champion has made some changes, mostly on goalkeeper, lineplayer, and playmaker position. In addition, Ambros Martin left the club before the start of the season, and the new headcoach did not arrive yet to Russia. The core of the team was kept together and now is steered from the line by the assistant coach, Tamas Hlavaty. Injuries are also causing trouble as Mayssa Pessoa got an ACL injury and she is out for the entire season. Katarina Krpez Slezak, the new right-winger could not join the team yet because of visa issues.

Newcomers: Grace Zaadi (Metz Handball), Katarina Krpez Slezak (Erd), Anna Lagerquist (Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub), Viktoriya Kalinina (Kuban), Per Johansson (headcoach )

Left the club: Lois Abbingh (Odense), Marina Sudakova (CSKA Moscow), Anna Sedoykina (CSKA Moscow), Irina Nikitina (Astrakhanochka), Valeriia Maslova (Buducnost), Julia Behnke (FTC-Rail Cargo Hungaria), Regina Kalinichenko (retired), Maya Petrova (retired)

Rostov Don will start the CL season in Hungary, against FTC Rail Cargo Hungaria in Group A.
