Team Esbjerg – CSM Bucuresti 29 – 30 (15 _ 17)

Topscorers: Sonja Frey 7, Sanna Solberg 6, Mette Tranborg 5 (Esbjerg) and Cristina Neagu 10, Siraba Dembele Pavlovic 5 (CSM)

CSM Bucuresti is without Alexandrina Barbosa and Valcan, Esbjerg misses Estevana Polman and Line Jørgensen.

Team Esbjerg and CSM Bucuresti started the game by following each others in scoring, and the result was very close for 22 minutes, 8-9 for the guests. The turning point was when hosts could not score for a 7 minutes period and Neagu, Pintea, Dembele or Omoregie increased the gap, 8- 11,9-14, 10-16. The Danes managed to fight back: Ingstad, Frey, Solberg scored and the first half ended 15-17.

In the second half Esbjerg managed to level the game at 18-18, but CSM took back the lead 18-20. After a short period was 20 – 20, there was an exciting game for the spectators to follow. Esbjerg managed to be in lead once 22-21, otherwise CSM had the lead by one goal or the results was draw.

With 45 seconds left, and 29-29 on the board, CSM had the ball and a timeout was called by Vasile. Romanians used two line players and Neagu scored with an impeccable shoot, winning the match once again for her team.
