Denmark – France 23 – 27 (13 – 12)

Topscorers: Anne Mette Hansen 6 (DEN) and Pauletta Foppa (FRA)

Denmark and France played a good,exciting game, chasing each other throughout the match, having strong defenses, good goalkeeper performance from Sandra Toft and Cleopatre Darleux

After the first half hosts had a slight advantage 13-12, and in the second half the match was close. Denmark missed four 7 meters against Darleux, in the second half only Hansen managed to score on penalties. Anne Mette Hansen had a great second half but this was not enough to win the game. France improved in the last 7 minutes, and won the game due to a better defense, good goalkeeper and fast breaks.
