Poland made an excellent first half, being in control during the whole game with a strong defense, fastbreaks and easy goals, good goalkeeper performance from Veronika Gawlik, and good efficiency from Gega, Labuda, Rosiak. Romania was struggling from start, Neagu seems to be alone on the cour, at least in the attack, their defense is weak and needs to show much more if they want to win the match today. Halftime: 15 -11.
The second half has brought a sharp turn in the picture og the game, where Dedu contributed with a good performance in the goal, Neagu played less and when she was on the court she mostly served her teammates with assists and at the same time Poland made lots of mistakes, lost balls, technical faults and missed chances. Romania equalized 19-19, then Buceschi scored for 19-20, taking the lead for her team with her first goal in the game. Poland managed to get back to 21-21 again, but this was the last hope for the Polish girls, as Romania scored three in a row and had strong lead at 21-24. Neagu, Laslo, Ostase, Dedu and Dinca were the best Romanian players, meanwhile Poland had a good Labuda on the rightwing and Rosiak. Final result: 24 – 28
