Poland had the stronger start, leading 2-6 in face of Germans, but after that it stopped for the Polish girls and Germany came back to 6-8. Dinah Eckerle had a saving performance on 50%, but Veronika Gawlik was as good as Eckerle. In a first half with a lot of mistakes and without many scorings, Germany lead at the pause 9-8.

In the second half there were as less goals as in the first half, it was the match which none of the teams wants to win-it seemed like that. It ended in a draw, 21-21. Germany goes to the Main Round and Poland earned their first point at the EURO.
