France defeats Norway in group E

IHF World Championship

Group E

Norway – France 24 – 28 (13 – 13)

Topscorers: Sander Sagosen 10 (NOR) and Kentin Mahe 9 (FRA)

Surprising victory for France against Norway in the opening match of group E. Outstanding goalkeeper performance from Pardin and Mahe had a great contributions as well for France. Norway played without OSullivan (sick) and had no flow or tempo in their play.

In the other match of the group Switzerland (replacing USA due to corona problems) defeated Austria.

Austria – Switzerland 25 – 28 (13 – 13 )

Topscorers: Robert Webere 7 (AUT) and Andy Schmid 7 (SUI)
