Győr beats Bietigheim after handball-show

DELO Women’s EHF CL, play-offs

SG BBM Bietigheim – Győri Audi ETO KC 20 – 37 (8 -18))

Referees: Capoccia, Jucker (SUI)

Goals: Maidhof 6, Naidzinavicius 3, Berger 3, Kudlacz-Gloc 3 (Bieigheim) and Gorbicz 6, Kristiansen 6, Brattset 4, Nze Minko 4, Faluvegi 4, Fodor 4 (Gyor)

After has been decided that all eight teams will qualify to the play-offs from the both groups we could know that there will be some pairings where one of the teams will be clear favorite based on their earlier results, squad and experience. The Bietigheim – Győr was one of those, and this result confirms that theory. Győr took a 17-goals victory making the next match in the second leg unnecessary to organize.

Győr had an impeccable defense, Solberg was just confident in the goal and the attack has worked as well very well for the Hungarians. Bietigheim missed Emily Sando (of unknown reasons).
