Olympic qualification tournaments

In Podgorica (MNE) Norway, Romania and Montenegro are fighting for the two Olympic spots. Huge surprise in the first game, where a tough Montenegrin defense stopped and disturbed totally the regning European champions, winning deserved the match.

Norway – Montenegro 23 – 28 (12 – 13)

Topscorers: Aune 4 (NOR) and Jaukovic 7 (MNE)

In Gyor, Hungary four teams are plaing for teh two qualifier spots: Russia, Servia, Kazakhstan and Hungary

Kazakhstan – Hungary 19 – 46 (8 – 20)

Topscorers: Alexandrova 5, Stepanova 4, Abilda 3 (KZH) and Lukacs 7, Klujber 6, Kiss 5 (HUN)

Russia – Serbia 29 – 24 (17 – 13 )

Topscorers: Vyakhireva 7, Managarova 6, Bobrovnikova 5 (RUS) and Pop-Lazic 5, Lavko 4, Trifunovic 4 (SRB)

In Spain three teams are playing the qualification tournament: Sweden, Argentina and Spain.

Spain – Sweden 28 – 28 (13 – 13)

Topscorers: Martin 7, Pena 6 (ESP) and Westberg 7, Roberts 4, Blohm 4 (SWE)
