Last editions bronze medalist, Vipers met debutants from CSKA in the second semifinal. With a solid Katrine Lunde in the goal Vipers had a strong defense storming Henny Ella Reistad in the offensive phase, scoring 6 goals in the first half. Marta Tomac had an amazing period for Vipers, scoring 4 goals and played an important role in the defense. Løke, Arntzen and Knedlikova contributed as well for Norwegians. Russians had a good first ten minute in the match, Daria Dmitrieva, Vedhekina and Skorobogatchenko made a shooting show from distance and managed to keep up with Vipers until 10-10, but after that they seemed to not finding the solutions especially in attack. Half time: 16- 10.

In the second half was never a question about which team will go to the final as Vipers kept the lead all the way, Reistad reached 10 scorings, Tomac, Mørk and Løke continued to score for Norwegians and Lunde was steady in the goal. CSKA tried everything but they never managed to come close enough to stress the opponent.

Final result: 33 – 30
