Historic victory for Japan, huge win for Sweden – results day 2

The hosts from Japan, led by Sakura Hauge Kametani from the goal (saving 47 %) took their first-ever win in the Olympic Game against a fainted Montenegro today. The Netherlands ran over Korea without problems, presenting a good team effort, meanwhile, Norway after the first ten minutes struggle against Angola, easily took the victory.

Japan – Montenegro 29 – 26 (14 – 13)

Korea – Netherlands 36 – 43 (15 – 19)

Angola – Norway 21 – 30(10 – 15)

Group B

In the second round of group B huge blow for Hungary being defeated by Brazil, after their team captain Aniko Kovacsics is out of the games, being re-injured on her shoulder after she got ready in the last seconds before the OG.

Sweden produced a big surprise over classing Russia, defeating the former Olympic champions with a 12 goals difference.

Brazil – Hungary 33 – 27 (17 – 11)
