France made a strong first half, with good defense and Glauser saving between the sticks, managed the French side to collect a six goals lead, ten minutes before the break. After 7-7, Norway struggled in attack especially, but their goalkeepers did not manage to perform on the expected level and they had problems in the defensive play as well. In the last minutes France made mistakes and Norway reduced the gap to 16-12.

In the second half, Norway gave all-in and turned the game after only six minutes, when they equalized 16-16 and took the lead 16-17. In the first ten minutes, Norway scored ten goals, meanwhile, France could not find the goal, as Silje Solberg just saved everything. The dynamic of the match just changed, Reistad, Mørk, Oftedal just pushed the French defense and scored goals, Solberg made a saving percent around 50% right from the start and France just could not keep up the pace. Well-deserved Norwegian gold after winning the second half 6-17! and the match 22-29.
