EHF Final4, Budapest
Facts about Team Esbjerg
Danish side, Team Esbjerg has reached the Final4 in Budapest for the very first time.
They have a small squad, but they have last year’s MVP of the EHF Final4, Norwegian middle-back Henny Reistad, and several Norwegian, Danish, or German national players. However, some experience from the Final4 has only Marit Malm Frafjord (CSM Bucuresti), Line Jørgensen (CSM Bucuresti), and Henny Ella Reistad (Vipers).

In the quarter-finals, Esbjerg eliminated CSM Bucuresti and only one goal meant the difference in the end.
Headcoach Jesper Jensen has been chosen as the best female handball coach of the last season at IHF Female Handball coach of the year.
Key players: Henny Ella Reistad, Rikke Poulsen, Kristine Breistøl, Mette Tranborg, Marit R.Jacobsen
Semifinal: Team Esbjerg will play the semifinal on Saturday against Győri Audi ETO KC
Henny Ella Reistad (Team Esbjerg):
The last seasons have been very good for me, I have been constantly progressing in all areas of my game and I am very happy with it,” Reistad says.
“However, there is also some added pressure to deliver, but I am enjoying handball quite a lot and I am feeling very good.”
“We have constantly been getting better and better this season and we have found ways to win games and be here. It is a superb season in the Champions League, with some superb games and I cannot wait to start playing in Budapest once again,” says Reistad.
“Györ is a great side, playing some amazing handball. It is a test for us, but we have the experience, and we know how difficult the EHF FINAL4 is, so we are motivated to win.
