The first half was Metz’s half, as they managed to control the game the entire time and to go the pause with a six-goals lead, 12-18. Metz was led y Grace Zaadi, Meline Nocandy, and Orlane Kanor, as for Esbjerg Reistad, Møller and Jakobsen were the main scorers. It seemed that Metz has decided to win this game, sowing motivation and dynamic which gave them also the confidence to be able to play their own game. Nocandy got injured at the end of the second half, but Metz seemed too powerful compared to Esbjerg.

In the second half Esbjerg managed to reduce the gap, Reistad showed a much better performance than in the first part of the game and the score became 18-20 after 12 minutes played. But Metz did not let Esbjerg come closer and they took back the control, increasing the lead and winning the bronze medal game.

Final result: 26 – 32
